WEVA CONGRESS - World Equine Veterinary Association
I have traveled to India five times in the last two years and have been fascinated with the diversity of this country. It is a country heaped in history, traditions and culture. Every minute spent there was unique. The WEVA congress will be held this year in Hyderabad, India on November 2-5, 2011. The congress has been well planned and has enlisted an outstanding group of speakers. There will be a full day of equine podiatry. It's a veterinary program that offers high quality continuing information for everyone regardless of your interest or area of equine practice. It is a meeting that shouldn't be missed. And while there, it would be a shame not to take advantage of the opportunity to tour the country as India is truly a spectacular place. Of special interest in Hyderabad are Nizam's palaces and the famed Char Minar. While in south India, Kerala, India's famous backwaters known as "God's own country is definitely worth a visit. A 2 - 3 hour flight will put you in north India and New Delhi; where there are too many historical places to mention that must be seen, incredible monuments, restaurants and the old deli market is not to be missed. A day trip from New Delhi puts you at the Taj Mahal in Agra, one of the 'Seven Wonders of the World'. There is nothing close to the temples in Khajuraho and then on to Jaipur, termed the "pink city" is loaded with palaces and ancient forts. From Jaipur, it is an easy drive to Ranthambore, India's best known tiger reserve where you can drive into the jungle and try and spot one of these big cats.
The WEVA Congress provides the venue to join your colleagues in India for "state of the art" continuing education while allowing an incredible vacation with the family in a country that will be hard to forget.
